Churches Together in Buckingham

As part of CHURCHES TOGETHER IN BUCKINGHAM and DISTRICT the following Christian churches in and around Buckingham join together for worship, prayer, fellowship and service.

  • St. Peter & St. Paul Parish Church
  • Well Street Church (Methodist/URC/Baptist)
  • St. Bernardine’s Catholic Church
  • Salvation Army
  • St. Edmund’s Church, Maids Moreton

It is the aim of “Churches Together in Buckingham” to demonstrate and give visible proof of the spiritual unity of all people in the area who acknowledge Jesus Christ as their Saviour and Lord.

Churches in Buckingham work together on many projects during the year especially at Christmas and Easter time. Teas and coffees were served pre the Christmas parade, and carol singing took place in Cornwall's meadow on the shops late night opening. All the Churches contribute to the Christmas leaflet, and are in the process of putting together a welcome leaflet to be distributed to the new houses in the town and also placed in the library and doctors surgeries etc. The Christian Aid frugal lunch takes place during lent, and on Good Friday there is an open air service, followed by tea, coffee and hot cross buns, thanks to all who generously contribute the buns. There is also a 'Stations of The Cross' Service at St. Bernardines Church on Good Friday evening when all are welcome to attend.

Another main event for Churches Together in Buckingham is the annual Holiday Club.
The holiday club run by the Buckingham churches will run in the usual way in two venues for the mornings of the first week of August. It is open to anyone who is aged 5-14. As anyone who has helped at Holiday Club will tell you, it is one of the most rewarding things of the summer.  It is fun, it affirms your faith and it builds links with the wider community.

Please sign up to help and encourage others to do so on the holiday club website www.holidayclub.inbuckingham.co.uk
