What is involved in running a Prayer Evening

Prayer Evenings run 7.30-9.30pm every last Monday of the month (except December and August).

There is no set order to what happens during the evening but you should consider the following:

1. Publicising the evening - magazine, notice sheet, during services, personal invitations

2. Which room(s) you wish to use (check with Erik in the office)

3. Information to guide prayers or quiet reflection/meditation

4. A time of praying together (usually at 8pm). This could include worship, possibly sung. If so you may need to consider the need for visuals, sound or musicians

5. Refreshments - you will need to buy milk and any biscuits etc

6. Giving people paper and pens to write down prayers and words from God, and feed these back to the Leadership Team via the Prayer Team

7. Keeping any information and prayers for the Prayer Team to display on the notice board in the lower hall.

8. You could also write a report of the evening for the magazine
