                                              The Pastoral Team ……. what is it?

                                        At Well Street United Church we have a Pastoral Team which is overseen by Pastoral Co-Ordinators, namely Ros Hutt,

                                        Sarah Shipp, Delia Frigaard and Jill Townsend.  Ian Thornton is our Leadership Team link and attends our meetings so

he can offer feedback from both the Elders and the Pastoral Team. When the Pastoral Team was first set up, Buckingham and the surrounding

villages were split into a number of geographical areas, and a Pastoral Link was appointed to each of these.  That link person is responsible

 for keeping an eye on the people in his/her grouping and identifying any needs that might arise, from a visit from Steve Fisher to someone to

mend the front gate.   Pastoral Links encourage those in their area to contact them should there be anything for which they would like help,

support or prayer. In addition we have Church Neighbours - people who come to Well Street Church and are happy to look out for a few of their

 very near neighbours who attend our Church.  There again, they can pick up on any requirements and practical help and support through the

pastoral network of services can be offered through the relevant Pastoral Link. The Pastoral Team offers a variety of services within its ministry

 and they include:

 We have wider links with the community and the services provided via the Red Cross, Age Concern, the Well Street Centre etc. and these,

together with what we already offer, will help us to contribute to the Hope o8 initiative in a positive, practical and caring way. For those of you

who are new to Well Street or haven’t the faintest idea what some of the Pastoral Links look like, there is a board containing our ‘mug shots’

as you come into the foyer of the Church - so you have no excuse any longer!  Once you start coming to Well Street Church, your Pastoral Link

will make him or herself known to you and alongside your name in the Church Directory you will find the relevant Pastoral Link.  Please do
